This Sinister Series is the WKCR-FM series, Dreadful John At Midnight. Alas, that's just about all we know about the series. It ran from 1963 to 1967 and is often attributed to King's Crown Radio, a Canadian station, as it's mentioned at the end of each episode (with J. Willis Morrow as the producer (as in "Dreadful" John Willis Morrow), though a Clive Thomas Cuthbertson is occasionally credited with production duties), and, as the WKCR sign off says, WKCR is owned by the trustees of Columbia University in the city of New York. Anyone wielding additional info on this rare series who'd be willing to enlighten us would be heaped with appreciation.
Even if you have a couple of these, I recommend listening to them, as they may be cleaner, clearer copies. I'll be posting them five at a time until I've given away the episodes I have.
Thanks to Astronauts Roy and Scott for sharing their files with us.
